Puff Pastry Roses
with Mascarpone and Apples
Difficulty: Easy
Preparation: 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 100 g Optimus Mascarpone
- 1 apple
- 1 lemon
- Brown sugar, to taste
- Powdered sugar, to taste
Procedure
Wash and thinly slice the apple, then let the slices soak in the lemon juice, adding some brown sugar.
Cut the puff pastry into 6 equal wide strips.
Take a strip and spread mascarpone along half of its length. Then, place the apple slices on top of the mascarpone.
Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the mascarpone and apples, leaving exposed only the ends of the apple slices.
Roll the puff pastry onto itself to form a rose, being careful not to let the apples fall out.
Place the roses in a muffin tin and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 20-25 minutes (convection oven).
The roses are ready, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Tip
You can replicate the recipe using pears instead of apples.
